Sketchbooks for Teaching Comics & Social Justice

The Center for Comics Studies faculty are collaborating to create a series of Sketchbooks for Teaching Comics and Social Justice. Each Sketchbook includes information about the comic and its creator, discussion questions and activities, and suggestions for further reading. Most importantly, consistent with our Comics and Social Justice President's Big Idea, each Sketchbook begins with a framing discussion of "Why this comic for social justice?" These Sketchbooks aim to provide fodder for teachers at all levels of instruction --- K-12 to university --- to incorporate comics into their teaching in a way that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion.
